General FAQs
If your business is social media-based, then you can probably get by without a website. But if you rely on Google to bring in traffic, or if you want to expand beyond your social media following, then yes, you need a website.
A website is like your calling card (now that's a dated analogy, isn't it?!). It's how people will find you and get to know what you can do for them.
Sure, you definitely can! There are tons of free website builders out there that can help you. Just keep in mind a few things:
- Almost all website traffic comes from cell phones and tablets. Is your DIY website optimized for mobile devices?
- Do you have the time it takes to maintain your website, keep the content up to date, and make sure it's secure and safe?
- Did you know that all websites need to meet minimum requirements of accessibility? That means that images, colors, and even the site's structure need to follow certain rules, or else you could potentially face legal action.
If the answers to these questions are "yes," then absolutely, you can do it yourself. But if you answered no for any of them, or if you aren't sure, then reach out for a free consultation today.
All our builds are on WordPress. We can do other platforms, like Shopify and SquareSpace, if requested, but WordPress is our platform of choice. Why? Because it powers more than 30% of the internet, it can do pretty much anything you want it to, and it's easy to work with.
Web Design FAQs
Every project is unique, and the timeline can depend on a number of factors. Most projects can be completed in as little as 4 to 6 weeks, assuming you provide all the necessary materials.
Once you've chosen OCC for your website, you'll need your website content: all the copy (that is, the text), images, fonts, colors, etc. If you don't have a branding guide, we can work together to figure out the best fonts and colors for you.

Maintenance FAQs
No, strictly speaking our maintenance plans are entirely optional. However, a website requires a lot of upkeep to stay secure: software updates, plugin updates, and making sure things stay functional. Our maintenance plans take care of the technical stuff for you.
Check out our services page to see more details, but every maintenance plan, regardless of tier, includes plugin and WordPress core updates, security optimization and uptime monitoring.
